Dear Families of Bristol Township School District Elementary Students,
Welcome back to an unprecedented school year. We want to make you aware of a few things to expect in the coming year.
Beginning September 8, 2020, your children are expected to attend school in Google meetings with their homeroom teacher for 30 minutes each day for whole group instruction in each subject- ELA, Math, and Social Studies/Science. That is 30 minutes in ELA, 30 minutes in Math and 30 minutes in Social Studies/Science. They will also attend for 30 minutes with their special area teacher.
In addition to their whole group online class, they are expected to attend 15 minute small group lessons online with their teacher for ELA, Math, and Writing for a total of 45 minutes. Your child(ren)’s teacher will send you a schedule of the times that your students will be attending online for whole group and small group lessons.

Your child(ren) will be expected to attend 150-165 minutes in a live google class each day with their teacher.
For the remainder of the school day, children will complete classwork assigned by their teacher. This is completed offline and will be for 135-150 minutes throughout the school day. This offline classwork will be assigned to the children through our school platform-Seesaw. Attached please find a short explanation of how Seesaw is used. Please see the district website for more information about BTSD online learning..
For the first two weeks of school, your child(ren)’s teacher will be teaching and practicing with your students how to complete their work in Seesaw, as well as the procedures and expectations for attending and participating in class online. Every lesson will be accompanied by an academic skill or strategy the children will complete in order to learn Seesaw and google meet. Offline, each academic assignment will also be paired with practicing the tools they will use throughout the year for completing and uploading assignments. Please contact your teacher if you have any questions.
Very soon you will receive times and dates for the following:
